Meet Our Staff:
Wade Leonard, Senior Pastor

Wade became Senior Pastor in February 2008. He has been on staff since June 2000 when he became Associate Pastor of Adults and Outreach.
Wade is originally from Atlanta and spent his first 10 years of full-time ministry doing campus ministry. When he's not chained to his desk, he loves to play basketball and spend time with his wife, Elizabeth and their 4 dog (3 Shih-Tzus named Winston, Bailey and Monty and one very obnoxious standard poodle named Nigel).
Jennifer Domain, Director of CWE (Church Weekday Education)

Jennifer oversees all aspects of the CWE program.
Jennifer became CWE director in May of 2007. She has been on the CWE staff since 2003 and has almost held every position available, from teacher, to aide, to "lunch lady" and a volunteer. Jen is originally from Pittsburgh, PA, but deceided to pack her husband up and move south...tooooo cold up north! You can usually find her "somewhere" in the church at all hours..but when she is not helping 40+ teachers or 250 children and their families, she loves to read and spend time with her husband Dave and two daughters Alexandra-13 and Sydney-9. She is also a "dog lover"..Jake 110 pound Lab, Danny 55 pounds of "mutt" and Kacey 60 pounds of "we have no idea"!!!
Janice Holcombe, Outreach and Connections Pastor

Janice oversees all aspects of Outreach & Connections including Touchpoint ministry, community involvement, Meet the Pastor events, Connection Luncheons, special event management and meeting with new members.
Janice is married to Tommy who is part of our video ministry. They have 2 children - Mitchell and his wife Viviana, and Shannon and her husband Collin - and 2 grandchildren, Jackson and Olivia Reed. She enjoys home decorating - and re-decorating! Janice is definitely a people person and will sit down for coffee at any given time to just talk with you! Janice has been on staff since 1995.
Matt Limbaugh, Senior Adult Pastor and Worship Arts Associate

Matt oversees all aspects of children's choirs, Exaltation Choir, Senior Adult ministry, accompanies the 8:15 am and 10:45 am worship services, and oversees family care/pastoral care.
Matt is married to Sandy and they have 2 sons, Matthew and Abram, 1 daughter-in-law, Angela and 2 grandchildren, Mikey and Daelynn. The whole family is involved in ministry here at FBC Mauldin. He began serving as organist in 1985 and became full-time staff in 1996.
Matt has had numerous organ and piano arrangements published including an anthem "And Give You Peace" and a piano solo collection "Be Thou My Vision". He continues to compose and arrange music for worship on a regular basis. "It's one of my favorite things - to be creative with the talents God has given me and in return, give them back in worship, and share with other musicians, so God can be praised and glorified."
Rodney Norvell, Discipleship and Missions Pastor

Rodney oversees discipleship efforts for all ages & life stages through Sunday School, small group ministries, PowerTraks, Men's & Women's ministries, and LIFE groups. He also leads and directs the overall missions ministry of the church through the Acts 1:8 strategy.
Rodney is married to Marisa and they have 2 children, Jacob and Makayla. He is a graduate of Georgetown College and The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He has been on staff since January 2009.
Pruette Plemens, Worship Arts Pastor

Pruette is responsible for all aspects of the worship arts ministry, worship servies, technical teams, Celebration Choir, Praise Team, Praise Band, Instrumental Ensemble and EPIC worship for youth.
Pruette has been on staff since January 2005. He is a graduate of Carson-Newman College and Lee University. Pruette is married to Deborah and they have two children, Jacob and Sarah. In what free time he has, you'll find him in his woodshop creating sawdust!

Paula Southwell, Children's Pastor

Paula oversees Preschool and Children's ministries such as: Sunday School, disciplship, Vacation Bible School, advisory teams, special events and outreach for families with preschoolers and children.
Paula came to us from Alabama. She is married to Joe and they have 3 children, Lucy, Ben and Gracie. Paula joined the staff in June 2009.
L. E. Williamson, Student and Recreation Pastor

L.E. oversees Upward Sports as well as all Youth ministry areas - Sunday School, discipleship, accountability groups, EPIC, mission weeks, ministry projects, marriage and family with youth counseling.
Born in Augusta GA, L.E. grew up in Columbia SC. He previously served churches in NC and VA. He graduated from Mars Hill Colege and has his MDiv from Southeastern Seminary and his DMin from Eastern Baptist Seminiary. He and his wife Jenny have 2 beautiful talented daughters. L.E. has been on staff since 1989.
Verla Bennie, Pastor's Ministry Assistant

Verla handles questions about membership, deacon ministry, scheduling baptism, pastoral care needs, prayer requests and manages the daily office work.
Born and raised in the Washington DC area Verla has a degree in Behavioral Science from Messiah College with a minor in Early Childhood Education. She was assistant director of her church's day school in PA before coming on staff with us in 1993. Verla is married to Jack and they have 3 grown children - Scott, Sean and Elisa - and 3 grandchildren - Xavier, Laken and Valencia - who all live out of the area but they have their faithful dog Gizmo at home.
Ginger Burnett, Preschool Co-ordinator

Ginger works with Melissa Hahn to make sure our preschoolers are taken care of during worship and other times so parents can worship and participate in activities.
Ginger is married to Shane and they have 2 daughters, Claudia and Blair.
Jenny Burgess, Outreach & Connections Ministry Assistant

Jenny says "I am blessed to be a part of FBC Mauldin not only as a member but as part of the staff. I enjoy working in the outreach department and getting to meet new people. It is truly a blessing to me to encourage and help people."
Jenny's favorite things to do away from church are spend time with her family - husband Brian, children P.J. and Jordan - camping, and running. Jenny joined our staff in 2009.
Sherry Carter, Financial Secretary

Payroll, accounts payable, bank reconciliation and financial reports name just a few of Sherry's responsibilities. She joined the staff in February 2006.
Born and raised in Brevard NC, Sherry attended Brevard High School and later attended Greenville Tech.
Sherry and her husband Steve, have two sons, two daughters and four grandsons. They also enjoy having their dog, Abie, in the family. Sherry is involved in her church and sings in the choir.
Margaret Cody, CWE Financial Officer

Margaret handles all the accounts for CWE.
You will always find a smile on Margaret's face. She enjoys interacting with the CWE children since her grandchildren live out of the area!!!
Melissa Hahn, Preschool Co-ordinator
Melissa works with Ginger Burnetts to make sure our preschoolers are taken care of during worship and other times so parents can worship and participate in activities.
Melissa is married to David and they have 3 children, Callie, Jordan and Julia.
Janice Johnson, Food Services

Janice is in charge of all food preparation for the church and CWE. She has been on staff since 2001and a member of the church since she was in the 3rd grade!
Janice was born and raised here in Mauldin and graduated from Mauldin High School. After graduation she went to Greenville Tech where she earned a degree in accounting. She has one son, Clayton, who is a student at North Greenville University. You will see Clayton on youth mission trips and at beach camp working with our youth as one of our Youth Interns each summer.
Pam Lollis, CWE Assistant Director

Pam works in the office at CWE and oversees many of the daily activites of the CWE program.
Pam was raised in "The Ware Place", attended Woodmont High School and then received a Degree in Medical Office Management from Draghons Business College. Pam worked as the Administrative Assistant to the Captain of District 3 of Highway Patrol for many years. She and her husband, Bruce, have one son and daughter-in-law, Zeke & Tyner. You will Bruce and Pam involved somewhere in the church at any given time! Pam has been on staff since 2000.
Becki Miller, Student and Recreation Ministry Assistant

Becki is the contact person for Upward sports and all youth activities - the person in the know! Not only does she know about them but she'll be there to help make sure everything runs smoothly.
Becki has a degree in Dental Hygiene from Armstrong State College. She and her husband Dave have 2 beautiful grown daughters, Meagan and Mandy and a standard schnauzer dog, Abby! Becki has been on staff since 2002.
Ruth Nuckols, Facilities Director

Ruth grew up in the Clemson area and earned her Associate of Science degree from Tri-County Tech. She worked in the medical field until deciding to pursue other career possibilities. She is the mother of 3 grown children - Mitch, Nick and Lindsay - and she and her husband Jim enjoy the company of their 3 dogs at home! Ruth has been on staff since 1997.
Juanita Patton, Worship Arts and Senior Adult Ministry Assistant

Juanita can answer your questions concerning music activities, senior adult activities, drama ministry, placing flowers in the church or articles for the worship bulletin.
Juanita is a native of Spartanburg County and has a degree from North Greenville Junior College. She and her husband, Randy, have a grown daughter, Meg, all of whom are members here at FBCM. Juanita has served on staff since June 1989.
Deborah Plemens, Music Assistant
Deborah leads Middle School Choir and High School Ensemble, accompanies adult choirs and instrumental ensembles.
Deborah is married to our worship arts pastor, Pruette, and they have 2 children, Jacob and Sarah.
Dennis Raines, Business Administrator

Dennis can answer your questions about any business aspects of the Church. He also oversees all facilities of the Church and any projects related to the Church property. Dennis serves on the Finance, Property and Personnel Committees.
Dennis is an honors graduate of Limestone College where he obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management. He is the Director/Founder of the Mauldin Miracle League and serves on the Development Council for the Greenville Hospital Systems Children’s Hospital. He and his wife Cathy of 39 years have two sons, Travis and Tyler, and three grandchildren – Gavin, Lawson and Colton and one spoiled rotten dachshund – Jax.
Paula Sloan, Preschool/Children and Discipleship/Missions Ministry Assistant

Paula produces our bi-weekly newsletter and can answer any questions about Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, PowerTrak, Kidz Power or other activities for preschoolers or children.
Paula was born in New Mexico but grew up in the surrounding Golden Strip area. She and her husband, Charles, have 2 grown children, Pam and Jason. Paula has been on staff since January 1999.
Terry Younkins, Maintenance Supervisor
Here at FBCM he is "the man" to see with any maintenance issues. Terry can fix anything!
Terry comes to us from Virginia Beach, Gateway Freewill Baptist church. He is very involved with his church in Simpsonville doing volunteer work at the food pantry and working with the homeless. His wife, Marie workes in our CWE and they have one grown son and a daughter in high school.
