The purpose of the children's ministry of FBCM is loving, sharing and serving children and families. We provide a clean and safe environment where our teachers and volunteers love each child modeling the love of Christ. We share bible stories, verses, life application, and music with children at an age appropriate level. We serve children and help parents to lay a biblical foundation leading to an understanding of God, His love and purpose for each child, and when a child is ready, a personal relationship with Christ.

Children's Ministry Activities Include:
Sunday School: - Our Sunday School hour begins at 9:30 each Sunday morning. It focuses on age-appropriate Bible study and life application. To assure that the study is age-appropriate, children are divided according to their school grade level. The children's classrooms are located on the orange hallway on the second floor.
Kidz Praise I and II - While children are always welcome to worship with their parents in our worship services, we do offer separate worship services for children during our 10:45 am worship. Children go to the Worship Center with their families and are dismissed to KIDZ Praise. KIDZ Praise I is for children in 1st through 3rd grades. It meets on the second floor in the KIDZ Praise Room. KIDZ Praise II is for children in 4th and 5th grades. It meets in the basement behind the Worship Center except on the first Sunday of every month when our 4th and 5th graders remain in worship with their families. Both KIDZ Praise I and II are designed to make worship age appropriate for children. Each service includes music, Bible study, life application, and activities.
KIDZ Power: KIDZ Power is our Sunday evening discipleship program for children. It meets from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on the orange hallway on the second floor. During KIDZ Power, children rotate through three stations. They learn about the Bible, through 30 minutes of Bible Skills, Missions, through 30 minutes of R.A.’s for boys and G.A.’s for girls, and reinforcement of both programs, through 30 minutes of Fun. During KIDZ Power, children are divided into three age groups : 1st grade, 2nd and 3rd grades, and 4th and 5th grades.
KIDZ Music: On Wednesday evenings from 6:15 to 7:15 our children learn about worshiping God through music. Our graded children’s choirs study basic music skills through songs and other activities. The children use the songs they have learned to worship God during various Sunday services throughout the year.
Mauldin Christian Academy (formerly Church Weekday Education): Our Academy program offers preschool and daycare from infants thru K-4. We have two K-5 classes, two 1st grade classes and one 2nd grade class. We also offer after-school care through 5th grade. This program operates as a ministry of our church loving, sharing and serving the families and children of our community. Vacation Bible School: VBS is a week filled with great games, stories, music, crafts, and snacks for all children age K5 through 5th grade. Children “travel” to different places in the world from the Outback of Australia to the beaches of Hawaii while they learn Bible stories. The stories focus on beginning and continuing to develop a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
Children’s Recognition Service: A couple of times each year we recognize our children for what they have learned through Bible study, missions and music. This is a time for families to affirm the hard work of the children and celebrate the gifts God has given each of them.
Upward Sports: Currently we offer spring and fall soccer and winter basketball through Upward. This program teaches children the fundamentals of a sport while promoting godly character and building self-esteem in each child.
