Preschool Ministry

The purpose of the preschool ministry of FBCM is loving, sharing and serving preschoolers and families. We provide a clean and safe environment where our teachers and volunteers love each child modeling the love of Christ. We share Bible stories, verses, life application, and music with children at an age appropriate level. We serve children and help parents to lay a biblical foundation leading to an understanding of God and His love and purpose for each child.
Preschool Ministry Activities Include:
Sunday School: Our Sunday School hour begins at 9:30 each Sunday morning. Preschoolers are divided based on age for infants to K5. Sunday School teachers love and nurture all preschoolers while teaching them about God’s love.
Worship Care: During both our 8:15 and 10:45 Worship Services, child care is provided for infants through K5. Preschoolers are allowed playtime in a clean and safe environment with volunteers who love and care for them following the model of Christ. During the 10:45 service, preschoolers also have a lesson time which reinforces the lesson taught in Sunday School.
Preschool KIDZ Power: KIDZ Power is our Sunday evening discipleship program. It meets in the Preschool area from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Preschoolers have rotating activities. One Sunday evening they will study a Bible story, play games, make crafts, and have a special snack related to the story. The following week they will study missionaries around the world and learn that they can be missionaries at home through “Mission Friends”. KIDZ Power is designed to teach preschoolers about God’s love and how they can share that love with others.
KIDZ Music: On Wednesday evenings from 6:15 to 7:15 preschoolers ages 3K to 5K learn about worshipping God through music. They are taught very basic music skills through songs and activities. A couple of times a year the preschoolers join in our worship with the songs they have prepared.
Parent-Baby-Home Dedications: Based on Proverbs 22:6 we believe in parents “training up a child in the way he should go” and we, as a church, want to help parents accomplish that task. We offer this special time in the service so that we can celebrate the birth of a child and make a formal commitment to support the parents as they also commit to raise their child in a godly home. Growing Families Tree: We have a special tree on the wall next to our Preschool Welcome Center. This tree is covered with nests which hold eggs. The eggs bear the names of expectant parents in our church. When the baby arrives, the egg hatches and a pink or blue chick appears in the nest. If you are expecting a baby we would love to add an egg to the tree for your family. Please email the parent’s names and due date to Ginger Burnett.
