Ministries / Worship Services

FBC Mauldin offers two morning worship services.

(Childcare is provided during each service.)

8:15 am - Traditional Worship

9:30 am - Sunday School (small groups)

10:45 am - Blended Worship

Because Prayer and Worship are our FIRST priority, Worship plays a vital role in the life of FBC Mauldin. We believe in spending quality time with God telling Him how we feel about Him and what we believe about Him.

Our worship style is diverse. We like our music to reflect our passion for God. Sometimes it's loud and exciting; at other times it is soft and intense. Always seeking to be an honest expression of how we feel about our Savior and our God. In John 4:24, Jesus commanded us to worship Him, not just in spirit but also in truth. Because of this we seek to express our Worship to God in a manner that is passionate, authentic, and relevant.

Clapping Hands
We believe there are times of great joy & celebration in the church, and clapping our hands is an outlet for the release of our praise: Psalm 47:1.

Kneeling
As we realize who we are, compared to the greatness of God, kneeling can become a natural, outward expression of meekness, humility and submission: Psalm 95:6-7; Nehemiah 8:6; Luke 5:8.

Lifting Hands
As the worship begins, and the Holy Spirit touches hearts, thankfulness and surrender sometimes causes us to lift our hands. "Yawdah" is the Hebrew word found 64 times in the Psalms which was translated "Praise." It actually means to worship with an extended hand. Examples of lifting hands in worship are found throughout the Bible: Matt 22:37; Exodus 17:15-16; Psalm 28:2; Nehemiah 8:6; Psalm 63:4;
Psalm 141:1-2; Psalms 119:48; Psalms 134:2; 1Timothy 2:8

We currently offer two distinctly different services each Sunday morning:

8:15 A.M.The style of the music is a blend of traditional hymns, the richness of meaningful worship choruses, and the applicable works of composers of sacred music. The singing and worship leadership of the Exaltation Choir and congregation, accompanied by our Instrumental Ensemble, organ and piano complement the musical style.

10:45 A.M. - The style music is a mixture of both hymns and contemporary songs. In most services, you will hear our Celebration Choir, as well as our Instrumental Ensemble and Praise Band.  This service usually ends around 12:00 noon. Our worship team does an excellent job of blending traditional worship music with current styles of songs and melodies that are common in everyday life.

            In each service our pastor’s messages are always biblically based, usually stemming from a central passage and concept.  Along with our pastor, other individuals will add to worship by sharing Faith Stories, prayers, challenges and other testimonies about how God has been moving and working in their lives.  The use of drama and multi-media presentations are woven into our services to enhance the central theme of each message. Our services are appropriate for individuals and families of all ages.  Dress is mostly casual with some people wearing jeans and others wearing suits and dresses.  The overall experience is designed to put God at the center of our worship, while being comfortable for individuals and families.
