Outreach Ministry Team
Purpose:
R…..Reach the lost and disconnected; wherever they are; whatever it takes!
♦ Guest House – Guest welcome area to “meet our pastor” and receive a personal gift from a member of our Outreach Ministry Team and turn in tear off sheet information for Outreach followup.
Sundays – 9:15 am - 9:45 am; 12 noon - 12:15 pm
♦ Touchpoint Ministry – Several opportunities within this ministry for “outreach”. Bake cookies to be delivered with a visit on Sunday afternoons. Write personal notes at Church or can be written from home for the guests from Sunday morning services. Visitation Teams are given two (2) visits to make on Sunday afternoons to guests from our Sunday morning services. All of these opportunities would be done ONCE each month, or LESS, depending on numbers of people offering to serve with us. Administrative assistance to determine from tear off sheets the guests who returned a sheet to us; making copies for our visitation teams and preparing bags with brochures to deliver with cookies for visitation teams. This ministry is scheduled EVERY SUNDAY at 4:00 pm
♦ Meet our Pastor and his wife, Elizabeth – A personal evening time with our Pastor and Elizabeth at their home. Guest list is determined by guests from current and previous months. Personally address invitation envelopes and stamp once each month. Hosts for each evening will be members of our Outreach Ministry Team.
♦ Neighbor-2-Neighbor (N-2-N) – Special block parties or mailings for expanding our contacts in community neighborhoods by hosting and providing supplies to promote special events during the year (Vacation Bible School; Easter Community Egg Hunts; Fall Festival Block parties), etc. Outreach ministry purchases and organizes supplies for parties; schedules parties; determine hosts in the neighborhoods; greeters; game leaders; set up and clean up teams.
♦ Share Jesus without Fear – Special and intentional training in developing relationships and learning methods that are simple for sharing Christ in day-to-day contacts.
♦ Follow-up Teams – Organize packets for special visitation followup teams following special events. Also need special visitation teams to make visits and deliver packets. This would include Fall & Spring Upward Soccer; Upward Basketball; Vacation Bible School and Easter.
♦ Connection Classes – Organize notebook information for classes. Train to teach classes for our New Members. Host classes from Outreach Ministry Team. Classes take place on Sunday evenings 5:00 – 6:30 pm for four (4) Sundays. No classes in July or December.
♦ Prayers for Outreach – provided by our Prayer Ministry Team!
