Our Adult Small Group Options - Winter Term 2010
Sunday - 9:30-10:30 AM
Life Stage Sunday School Classes - From preschool to senior adults, our church offers a group for you to study the B ible and connect with others who are in a similar stage of life. These groups are always open and welcome to having visitors and guests. Feel free to visit several groups until you discover the place where you will grow the best. Also, remember as life stages change you may wish to explore another class. We encourage you to move in order to place yourself where you will be challenged to grow and develop and where you can reach out to others.
Sunday - 5:00 - 6:30 pm
Celebration Choir - Worship leadership is about more than singing; it is about loving God unashamed in front of others. Lead our church at 10:45 each week in lifting up God through music. Directed by Pruette Plemens
New Men's Group - Trying to be a good father, husband and bread winner can be hard without a band of brothers to pull you through. Join Danny Murdock in a flexible group that will deal with men's issues in fulfilling a Christian worldview.
New Women's Group - Drop the kids off down the hall at KidzPower and come together with other women who understand what you are going through. Maybe you haven't made time to join a women's group yet or just are not ready to face another workbook. Then this group might be for you.
Connections - Whether you are a regular attender who hasn't joined the church yet, a visitor to our church, or a new member, you will be welcome in this small group. Janice Holcombe, our outreach pastor, will teach you about the family of First Baptist Mauldin, but more importantly about how to connect with other believers and Jesus Christ.
Wade's Group - Join our pastor for some informal Bible study teaching, leadership hints, and prayer.

Exaltation Choir - People of all ages are welcome to lift up their voices in praising God through music leadership in our 8:15 service each week. Directed by Matt Limbaugh
Tuesday - 9:30 - 11:30 am
Women in Leadership - This small group focuses on understanding and fulfilling God's purpose and His calling both as a woman and as a church leader. Led by Beth Fortune
Tuesday - 6:30 - 8:00 pm
The Way of the Worshiper: Discover the Secret to Friendship with God - God is looking for worshipers and His invitation is open to invest in a friendship with you. Are you open to a new way of living and encountering God? Led by Pruette Plemens
Wednesday - 6:15 - 7:15 pm
Prayer Meeting & Bible Study of Exodus - Our pastor will be teaching the journey of the Hebrews as they escape from Egypt and learn to follow God through the wilderness as He shapes, disciplines and provides for His chosen people. Led by Wade Leonard and Shane Burnett
Bible Study on Revelation - Many people believe the end of the world is near. What makes Revelation, written by the Apostle John in his last days, such an appealing book on the End Times? Find some of the keys in symbolism and discover some perspective on the urgency of the Good News. Led by Greg Fortune.
"To the Ends of the Earth" - Does God really expect us to minister to the whole world? /Find out about God's heart for all people including the people of our church. Learn about our church's Acts 1:8 Strategy, mission partnerships and our missions pastor's vision for reaching London, England; New England; South Carolina; and Mauldin. Led by Rodney Norvell
"Have a New Kid by Friday" - Parenting is a tough job and sometimes it seems that the world is influencing our kids more than a parent can. Dr. Kevin Leman helps parents work on changing a child's attitude, behavior and character. Led by Paula Southwell.
"Success by Significance" - You want to discover where your deepest passions intersect with your greatest abilities and harness them to change the world. This co-ed study takes a look at making sure your life counts for something bigger than yourself. Led by Becky McCrary.

"One In A Million" - Bible study for women that takes a look at the Israelite's journey through the wilderness. Experience deliverance from strongholds to conquer your wilderness living and claim your God-given inheritance in this Bible study by Priscilla Shirer. Led by Jan Hedden.
First Place is back by popular demand. This program teaches a proven, Christ-centered healthy lifestyle that speaks to the whole person - mind, body, emotions and spirit. Be free from the tyranny of food once and for all and get off the roller coaster diets. Led by Nancy Lewis.
Young Dad's LIFE Group - 'This men's group often studies some of the relevant series by Andy Stanley from North Point Church dealing with character development and Christian living. Led by Russ McNair
Women's Life Group - "Breaking Free: The Journey, The Stories" - This is an updated version of Beth Moore's original Bible study that helped hundreds of women breakdown the spiritual strongholds in their life to discover the transforming power of Christian freedom. Led by Tracy Burns.
Share Jesus along the Highway - We don't want to forget the lessons of "Share Jesus Without Fear". Join Janice Holcombe, our outreach pastor, at Liquid Highway on Butler Road for a cup of coffee, stories, and mentoring in sharing your faith.

Men's Fraternity - "Quest for Authentic Manhood" Second Half - If you missed out when it started, now is the time to join other men along a journey toward real biblical masculinity while fostering deep spiritual, emotional, and personal growth for the last 11 weeks of this series. Led by Wade Leonard.

Agape Addiction Recovery Ministry - Have you been affected by the life an addict? We are offering hope and help to those with addictions and their families or friends who have been involved in the struggle with addictive behaviors. Come walk with someone who has been there and overcome. Childcare made available by reservation. Led by Benny & Heather Butler.

Women's LIFE Group - "Heaven: Biblical Answers to Common Questions" - Randy Alcorn explores questions about what heaven will be like shares his extensive research on the topic - all from a biblical perspective. Led by Sue Poole.
Friday - 9:00 - 11:00
Women's LIFE Group - "Annointed, Transformed, Redeemed" by Priscilla Shirer, Beth Moore and Kay Arthur, who take a look at the three stages (young, middle age and elderly) of David's life. Learn to love God as a woman after His own heart. Childcare made available by reservation. Led by Dianne Reed.

Adult Survival Kit for New Believers - Have you recently made a decision to follow Christ? How do you make sense of becoming a believer? Learn 5 keys to effective spiritual growth in this study to help begin new patterns of thought and habits. Led by Betty Mullinax.
"I'm a Christian Now" for Older Children who are New Believers - helps children understand the decision they have made and what it means to live a Christian life. Topics cover baptism, the Lord's Supper, being a church member, following God thorugh our actions and developing a quiet time. Led by Paula Southwell.
